Huexca: A call for help.

The people of Morelos, Puebla and Tlaxcala, face the construction of a megaproject, a joint investment from the Spanish government as well as Elecnor and Abengoa corporations and the CFE (Federal Commission of Electricity), which involves the construction of a thermoelectric plant and a gas pipeline.
According with reports from CENAPRED (National Center for the Prevention of Disasters) and researchers, the people are in a high risk because of the proximity with the active Popocatépetl volcano.

Besides this fact, the environmental impact that the power plant would cause to the people of Huexca would be disastrous, generating a lack of water supply, air, soil and ground water pollution, thus depriving the people of their livelyhood, depending on agriculture and livestock.

The people of Huexca (Morelos), Puebla, and Tlaxcala make a call for solidarity to the nations of the world, in defense of the peasant's life, and Earth.
